Federica ‘Ki Kal’ Caliandro was born and lives in Brindisi. After studying Art at DAMS in Bologna and Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, she work on all painting techniques (oil, watercolours, charcoals, assemblages of different techniques and materials, recycled too), developing her own recognisable style. From 1996 he began her professional activity; take part at group and solo exhibitions with sculptures, paintings and installations, also working in alternative contexts, such as advertising artwork, restoration, light sculpture, choreography, cinema and photography.

Since 2011, she has been studying the interaction between painting and music, performing live painting and exhibiting at music festivals and reviews. The synergy between graphic art and music is consolidated from 2019 with Art Around Music, a radio programm, schedulated in several radio stations: Stazione Blues Radio, Bologna (BO); ADMR Rock Web Radio, Chiari (BS); Radio Talpa, Cattolica (RN).

She is a teacher of Art and Image at State Secondary Schools.
