Veronica Sbergia is a singer, ukulelist and washboard player. She is a successful and highly respected artist in the italian and international Blues and Jazz panorama and, thanks to her vocal versatility, she can boast numerous collaborations with artists of the most disparate musical genres, from pop to folk, passing through soul and funk. After meeting guitarist Max De Bernardi, she concentrated on the study and research of the traditional American folk music and pre-war Blues. Among the awards she has received in her career, there is the first prize at the prestigious European Blues Challenge in 2013, and the subsequent participation in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis (TN). Her performances in the most important international events are countless, among which we mention Notodden Blues Festival (NO), Lucerne Blues Festival (CH), Cognac Blues Passion (F), The Big Wheel Festival on the Isle of Man (UK), Edinburgh Blues & Jazz (UK), Shetland Folk Festival (UK), Autumn in Blues (PL), Spring in Black (S), Blues Baltica (DE), Blues Alive (CZ). Veronica was the first and only Italian artist to be invited to the prestigious "Mustique Blues Festival" ed. 2012 and 2013, a charity event that takes place annually in the splendid setting of the Caribbean island. In addition to the project with Max, in 2019 she has started a collaboration with the pianist and jazz singer Laura Fedele, giving life to The Jolly Shoes Sisters duo. Veronica combines her concert activity with that of singing teacher at the Blues and Roots Music School in Milan.
