LINO MUOIO's MANDOLIN BLUES

Started at age of 16 playing guitar, I’ve devoted myself for the last 20 years to learn other instruments like lapsteel, ukulele and mandolin. In 2012, after 5 years of research into the roots of Country Blues, I released “Mandolin Blues”, the first Italian record entirely dedicated to the Blues Mandolin, an highly original production appreciated both in Italy and Europe. In 2016 came out the album: “Mandolin Blues – The Piano Sessions”, an evolution of Mandolin Blues exploring the interplay between mandolin and piano, with a variety of styles from 20s and 30s Swing and Blues.

2018 is the year of a Mandolin Blues new chapter called “Mandolin Blues – The Acoustic Sessions”, Including brand new original songs along with the best Italian acoustic Blues musicians.

Since 2017 I’ve been touring as mandolin player with the Blues legend Corey Harris (Corey Harris Acoustic Trio). And finally, in 2022 Mandolin Blues will come back to his Neapolitan cultural roots with “Vedo Napoli….poi Muoio!” where all the lyrics will be in Neapolitan language….this will be the real big thing!
