Musician and composer, born in 1974, has been active in the Italian music scene since the '90s. He gained recognition with the release of his album "Musicisti Di Terra Di Lavoro," curated by the band Avion Travel. Until 2000, he was a key figure in the artistic collective "Russula," which he founded and led. In 1999, Russula released the concept album 'Sensible Eggs,' during which time they embarked on a journey into radical improvisation, exploring the psychedelic dimensions of black music.
In 2001, he joined the Afro-Beat group VAGABONE, collaborating with the French musician Yekidja Beat. He also worked with the artist Corona, playing guitar for her during her last Italian tour. He studied composition under the guidance of Maestro Pietro Condorelli and founded a blues band called Alfred K Parolino & The Blue Maffia, in which they served as the support band for Paul Young, Cristal White, Sista Monica Parker, John Broadway Tucker, Key Frances, Sugar Blue, Herbie Goins.
In 2005, he earned a degree in Art History and honed his recording and music production skills at a recording studio in Naples owned by the electronic music group Planet Funk. He collaborated with Sandro Sommella and Sergio della Monica.
Since 2006, he has owned and operated BANANA MOON STUDIO, a recording and production studio.
In 2007 he worked as a session musician with the beloved Nathaniel Peterson in his project Twin Dragons.
In 2010, under the moniker "Bufalo Kill," he formed a blues'n'roll trio that received critical acclaim as one of the rising stars of the Italian independent music scene. He recorded two albums under the Roman label Yorpikus Sound and a third album, produced by Manuel Fusaroli "Max Stirner,", which was released in 2019. With Bufalo Kill, he performed concerts at various festivals in Italy and Europe, sharing the stage with Italian artists such as Bugo, Marlene Kuntz, Skiantos. In 2012 they even had the opportunity to be the support band for the legendary rock poet Patti Smith.
In 2013, his music was chosen by the production team for the film "Black Star – Nati sotto una stella nera," where it complemented the compositions of the iconic Ennio Morricone.
Since 2014, he has collaborated with Mario "Blue Train" Insenga, the founder of Blue Stuff, in their project "The Blues Company."
In 2016, he composed "Music for Visitors" a concept album designed and composed in a limited edition for the September 2016 edition of HOMI. This composition is one in which the nature of the ambient space intended for listening influences and determines the compositional, harmonic, and emotional choices.
In 2019, in his role as the founder of the Italian Southern Gothic project with the Janara Circulum collective, he composed 'Unguento,' a folk song with clear references to ancient music. The Italian Southern Gothic project is an artistic initiative that delves into the cultural and musical influences of Southern Italy, often interweaving elements of mystery, tradition, and history into its creations. In 2020, he collaborated with Karyn Crisis, the renowned singer of the New York band Crisis, on the single "Shanara." This single served as the main theme for the short film "L’Unguento," for which he also wrote the screenplay. The film was selected for the David di Donatello 2021 and won the International FIPLI Horror Fest.
He is actively involved in composing original soundtracks for film, television, and contemporary art multimedia productions.
