Mary Lee and Caesar's Cowboys is a western swing band founded in 2022 by Luciano and Marjolein.

They discovered the history of this music genre through their former country music experiences.

Although not much known in Italy, western swing came natural to them for the blend of their favourite styles: a mixture of swing, folk, hillbilly and blues.

They enjoy playing the standards of legends such as Milton Brown, Bob Wills, Cindy Walker and

Spade Cooley for their swing feel, sweet melodies and entertaining moments of jazz improvisation.

The various musical backgrounds of each musician give the band a unique sound with influences from traditional jazz, bebop,

ragtime and boogie woogie, as you can hear in the original compositions as well as their interpretations of the classics.

Their first self-produced video “Everybody's Truckin'”, published in 2023, received an immediate international interest and led them

to be booked at big festivals such as Rhythm Riot (England), Summer Jamboree (Italy) and Cowtown Birthplace of Western Swing (Texas, USA).

In September 2024 they released their debut album “See Ya Later,Gladiator!”,

which has been recorded by Simone Scifoni and produced by Bloos Records, containing two originals and eight traditional tunes.
