Poor Bob & Big Lucho
Muddy Gentlemen
Poor Bob & Big Lucho sing and play dusty and wooden songs.
Poor Bob & Big Lucho don't want to bite the ground and don't pretend to rise from the mud and to being lost in huge rivers at all.
Poor Bob & Big Lucho play and sing together due to a brotherhood they glimpsed in the streets of New Orleans and they continue to discover in new sights, cross the streets of Rome, playing songs of ministrels and reverends.
Poor Bob & Big Lucho will play for you, if you please.
Poor Bob
Alessio Magliocchetti Lombi – guitar, voice
Loves playing old resonators. He owns the older he could find around.
You can find his daily marvel playing the old intruments straight in to his songs, as you can find, through his eyes, the respect and the wonder he felt in the big south countryside in the mystic presence of Fred McDowell.
Big Lucho
Lucio Villani – upright bass, voice
Loves playing the bow and he plays a really old bass, a true big old one.
After the degree in classical studies with Master Massimo Giorgi, he crosses Europe and the biggest jazz and blues festival as a sideman. Always in love with folk music, goes and digs deep down in the songs and their words, plays every kind of music and always comes back home, to the blues.
